Dr. Chan Kai Soon graduated with MBBS from University of Malaya Medical School in 1980. Dr. Chan was attached with the Ministry of Health Malaysia for 7 years prior in obtaining his master’s degree in Pathology from the same medical school in 1991. Dr. Chan was awarded with the Bhagwan Singh Award for being the best postgraduate Pathology student in 1991.
As a Pathologist, Dr. Chan’s tenure to various private laboratories in Malaysia and was also the person in-charge in setting up the Histopathology & Cytology Department for all these labs. His collaborative publications include:

- Disseminated Histoplasmosis Mimicking Miliary Tuberculosis: Case Report
- Follicular Dendritic Cell Sarcoma of Inguinal Lymph Node: Case Report
- Extra-adrenal Paraganglioma (3 uncommon locations)
Dr. Chan is a member of the Medical Association of Malaysia, Perak Private Medical Practitioner Society, College of Pathologists, The Malaysian Nature Society and various other non-governmental organizations.
