Dr. Low is a graduate of the University of Malaya Medical School. He obtained a Master degree in Pathology from the same Medical school in 1983. Thereafter he joined the teaching staff in the Department of Pathology, University of Malaya .

In 1988, Dr. Low was admitted as a member of the Royal College of Pathologists, United Kingdom, by examination. He was promoted to fellowship in 1996.

Dr. Low is also a member of the International Academy of Cytology (IAC). He has fond memories of meeting with living Cytology legends in Sydney , Australia , where he attended IAC tutorial in cytology in 1985.

Having been exposed to the private sector early in his career, Dr. Low is by necessity a generalist in the fields of Histopathology and Cytopathology.
